Over the years I've written many articles and presented continuing legal education programs regarding the practice of criminal law and the defense of criminal matters in the federal courts of Maryland and the District of Columbia and criminal matters the State of Maryland.
I've developed this site to serve as resource to criminal defense attorneys and others who are interested in criminal law, and in particular, criminal defense issues.

I've also provided links to a variety of sources that may be of assistance to lawyers and others with matter pending in the state and federal trial and appellate courts of Maryland and the District of Columbia. Robert C. Bonsib, Esq. has over 45 years of experience in criminal law. From 1974-1987 he served as both an Assistant and Deputy State's Attorney in Prince George's County, Maryland. From 1987-1990 he served as an Assistant United States Attorney for the District of Maryland. Since 1990 he has been partner in the firm of MarcusBonsib, LLC in Greenbelt, Maryland where he concentrates his practice in the defense of federal and state criminal matters.
He is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, recognized by Best Lawyers of America in the areas of white-collar and non-white collar criminal defense. Since 2002 he has been repeatedly recognized by Washingtonian Magazine as one of the top lawyers in the Washington, DC-Maryland area. In 2018 he was recognized by SuperLawyers as one of the top 100 lawyers in both Maryland and the District of Columbia.
